"Introduction to Modern Lebanese Belly Dance" Workshop with Mark Balahadia

The workshop will cover:
- A brief history lecture on belly dance in Lebanon
- The differences between classical style and the modern style
- Typical combinations and signature moves of several dancers.

If we have time, I will throw in a bit of Ra's Khaleeji too.

The workshop will be on November the 14th 2009 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm in room 4g at the 440 Studios, 440 Lafayette St., East Village NYC. Cost is $40 at the door, $35 if you pre-pay via Paypal before November the 7th.

Please bring a chiffon veil, a coinless scarf, and ballroom heals with a 2 - 2.5 inch heel if you have them (heels not required).
